Time to start detailing the scales on the fish. Fish look sleek and shiny, like bullets. When I paint fish, I try add some sheen to them.

PaintingsJust started on my newest painting, The Treasure at the Top. My new love affair with the koi fish is still as strong as ever, and I hadn’t painted a picture of these big, beautiful, vibrant carp in a little while.
The title will make more sense as I complete more of this painting. Trust me!

I drove by Lake Horton several months ago. It’s quite scenic view. Naturally, that lake inspired this painting.
What is this little girl so mesmerized by? Is it the waterfall or something else? That’s anyone’s guess, really.
