Ah yes, more progress on the King & Queen Towers! These buildings are definitely the highlight of going to Sandy Springs.
As you can see, I’ve started to work on the smaller buildings that surround them. They certainly dominate the landscape that they’re in.
Sandy Springs – Part 2

So, getting the King & Queen towers has been by far and away the more challenging part of this picture. Your typical skyscraper is like a giant rectangular prism, but these buildings are like 5 or 6 rectangular prisms connected to each other. Getting the shading right has been a challenge as a result.
But, that’s the joy of painting! Really improves your hand-eye coordination!

For this one, I’m painting a picture of the King & Queen Buildings in Sandy Springs, GA. Sandy Springs is sorta like Manhattan in NYC. It’s a district of Atlanta, in other words.
