This was just a bit of experimentation with multi-surface paint. I was thinking of Yin and Yang with this plate.

I wanted the design to be as symmetrical as possible.

If you look at traditional African dresses, you’ll often notice that they use bold colors like blue, yellow, or purple. They’re gorgeous!

So, I was inspired by traditional African dresses when I painted this plate.
